CPR and First Aid Classes
Our CPR Program offers classes from American Heart Association, and a certification card is issued
at the conclusion of the class for those who successfully complete the training. The certification is good for two years.
SCFD 26 offers free CPR/First Aid training for our community members.
Interested individuals who live outside the Gold Bar Community, classes are $25.00 per person.
CPR Manuals, pocket masks, and faceshield key chains are available for purchase
Classes are taught by our fire department's certified instructors. The following classes are offered:
Heartsaver First Aid/CPR with AED (Adult/Child and Infant) - This course covers many first aid topics and can include bandage practice,
splinting, and environmental emergency topics.
Healthcare Provider - This course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals, the ability to recognize several life-threatening
emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely, and effecive manner. The course is intended for certified
or non-certified, licensed/non-licensed healthcare professionals.
Due to the busy holiday season, we will not be holding a monthly class for the month of December.

Why should you know CPR and First Aid?
CPR is performed on someone known to the rescurer 70% of the time.
CPR isn't just for people having a heart attack. 7 million adults and children suffer disabling injuries in their homes and backyards each year which may require CPR
SCFD 26 is committed to making a positive difference in our community
through education and training. We offer the necessary skills to create confident individuals who can perform
CPR, operate an AED, and administer simple First Aid techniques in an emergency.
